Founded in 1965, ACT is a regional, non-profit theatre in Seattle known for presenting contemporary themes within classic works. In an effort to keep printing costs low, ACT decided on a monochromatic look for its programs. Keeping this in mind, I chose to use modern typefaces, high contrasts, simple graphics, and large amounts of negative space when designing page layouts. As you'll notice, black and white can be engaging, versatile, easy to use, and most of all, effective.
I worked with ACT Theatre for four seasons, sending a total of 24 publications to press.
